È nel lontano 1980 che Helmut Stricker decide di fare della sua passione una professione. Inizia la sua carriera di istruttore FIVL (Federazione Italiana Volo Libero) con il suo primo allievo di deltaplano Marco Ploner.
Nel 1983 consegue assieme ad altri piloti della Val Badia il brevetto austriaco "Sonderpilotenschein" e nel 1986 inizia anche a formare piloti di parapendio.
Nel 1989 fonda l'attuale scuola di volo Centro Volo Libero Alta Badia.
Nel 1990 consegue il titolo di istruttore ed esaminatore AeCI, anno in cui l'Aeroclub d'Italia rilascia anche i primi brevetti di volo ufficali conseguiti dopo un'apposito esame teorico e pratico.
Nei primi anni novanta Helmut Stricker si sposta durante i mesi invernali in Brasile dove organizza corsi SIV (Sicurezza In Volo).
Dal 2007 il Centro Volo Libero Alta Badia è aeroclub federato dell'AeCI (Aero Club d'Italia).

Im Jahr 1980 macht Helmut Stricker seine Leidenschaft zum Beruf. Er beginnt seine Karriere als FIVL Fluglehrer.

Im Jahr 1983 erfolgt Helmut Stricker mit anderen aus Alta Badia stammenden Piloten den österreichischen "Sonderpilotenschein". Im Jahr 1986 beginnt er auch Segelflieger auszubilden.
Im Jahr 1989 gründet er die aktuelle Flugschule Flight Center Alta Badia.
Im Jahr 1990 erwirbt er den Titel als Lehrer und Prüfer AeCI. Anfang der Neunziger Jahre lebt Helmut Stricker in Brasilien und organisiert SIV-Kurse (Flugsicherheit).
Seit 2007 gehört das Zentrum Freier Flug Alta Badia zum EYCI (Aero Club von Italien).

La grande attenzione che Helmut ha sempre dedicato alla sicurezza in volo si rispecchia nelle statistiche sugli incidenti nelle scuole di volo. La lussazione di una spalla di un allievo di deltaplano e qualche caviglia slogata su un totale di più di 1600 allievi in oltre 30 anni di attività è un risultato di tutto rispetto che nessun'altra scuola di volo può vantare.

Die große Aufmerksamkeit widmet Helmut Stricker aber während seines Unterrichts der Sicherheit. Die Unfallchronik bestätigt es, denn zwei leichte Unfälle bei ca. 1600 Schülern und 30 Jahren Unterricht sind ein respektables Ergebnis.

The great attention that Helmut has always been dedicated to flight safety is reflected in the accident statistics in flight schools. One dislocated shoulder, and some sprained ankle out of a total of more than 1600 students in over 30 years is a respectable result that none other flight school can boast.
